the love for her family

She was a mad, sad, angry, depressed woman and her divorce put much pressure on her
She took her anger out on herself.
She tried not to and instead she took it out on family.
One day she thought about committing suicide.
The next day she finds her son face down and pulse gone forever.

The staircase can lead you up or down
you decide where to go
the staircase can confuse you
and you wouldn’t even know
you can control where to be
but sometimes it will lead on, on its own
and even when you least expect it
it can drop you and let you tumble
falling and falling until you crash
when you hit the ground
you can get up and try again
try to get to the top
when you arrive
stop and listen to that sound
like a dismal church organ
playing the same old funeral song
yet it is the sound of success
and look around
you see a dark coffin and regret no mistakes
because the mistakes you made helped
you succeed
but if you did not rise when you fell
that was the mistake that led you
where you are now.
